About LPHI

At the Louisiana Public Health Institute (LPHI), our goal is to promote and improve the health and quality of life in Louisiana through public-private partnering at the community, parish and state levels.

The initiatives of LPHI improve the health of Louisiana’s people and communities, and provide information for decision making and policy development. Current activities employ a community-based systems approach to improving access to care, environmental tobacco policy change, and enhancing the capacity of communities to address critical health issues. Our focus is on promoting community-oriented solutions to public health issues and serving as the broker for traditional and non-traditional partnerships.

LPHI connects people, ideas, organizations, and resources to bring about positive change. We’re about creating the space for innovative change to happen in Louisiana.
