As experts in evaluation and research, we provide high-quality information for evidence-based decision making for a wide variety of stakeholders ranging from government agencies at federal, state, and local levels to community-based organizations, health providers, foundations, and businesses. Our team has substantial knowledge and experience in evaluation and research methods, including quantitative and qualitative study designs; data collection services such as surveys, focus groups, and in-depth interviews; analytics; and data visualization techniques to ensure that information is easily understood and meaningful. Building the evaluation capacity of partner program partners is integral to our approach.



We have extensive experience in conducting community and organizational assessments for a variety of public and private partners. Assessments involve the collection and synthesis of existing and new data to assess needs, inform program and business planning, develop recommendations for priority setting, and inform decision making.

Program Evaluation

We work with programs to define evaluation aims and develop evaluation designs that are feasible given resource capacity and timelines, including data collection strategy, sampling methods, and analytic strategy. The team has expertise in Developmental Evaluation (ongoing process evaluation); Implementation Evaluation (process evaluation); and Outcome Evaluation/Impact Studies using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Program Improvement

Our team works with organizations and programs to assess whether they are meeting their goals and to provide recommendations for programmatic improvement using Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles, workflow mapping, and team and client interviews.


Our team is skilled in a wide range of analytical techniques from descriptive to multivariate analyses and geospatial analysis.

Clinical Data Analytics

The Evaluation and Research team works closely with health systems stakeholders to design and execute specialized analytics projects using clinical data from insurance claims, administrative services, or medical records. The team is highly skilled at analyzing large datasets to compare local and national health statistics and interpreting these findings from a health economic and health services perspective.

Clinical HIT and EHR Implementation

The Evaluation and Research team works in partnership with health care organizations to assist in optimizing the utilization and efficiency of Health Information Technology (HIT) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.


We work with partners to conduct scientific applied research studies to answer questions related to tobacco control and cessation, healthy communities, clinical transformation, family health, and healthcare services.

Evaluation Capacity Building

Our staff provides expert technical support and full service training to community organizations to build capacity to design and implement evaluation and research studies and to use evaluation and research findings for programmatic and organizational decision-making.
