CMS releases final rule for the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act

Medicare

The final Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) legislation, which is reforming how Medicare pays individuals, was released recently and ties the payments even more fully to quality outcomes. This latest rule finalizes MACRA's Quality Payment Program, which aims to reduce administrative burden on physicians so they can focus on care improvement, promote adoption of value-based care and smooth the transition to these new models of care.
