LPHI’s Health Services Research Team Receives ONC Funding to Develop “Health in Our Hands Kids” Pediatric Registry

LPHI' Health Services Research team was recently awarded funding from the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) to create a tablet-based recruitment application to be used at the point-of-care in pediatric clinics. The application will recruit patients under 18 years old (via consent given by their parent/guardian) to join the existing Health in Our Hands (HiOH) Patient Network, which currently has more than 6,000 adult members.

HiOH Kids recruitment will be piloted at Tulane Pediatric clinics and HiOH members may be contacted for opportunities to participate in health research. Expanding HiOH to include pediatric patients will help facilitate recruitment for pediatric research.
