In August 2016, LPHI’s COO Sarah Gillen and Director of Behavioral Health Taslim van Hattum attended and presented at the Centerstone Summit on Health Equity in Nashville, Tennessee. Centerstone is one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit providers of community-based behavioral health care, offering a full range of mental health services, substance abuse treatment and intellectual and developmental disabilities services in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. Last year, Centerstone served more than 100,000 individuals and families.

LPHI presented on Public Health Institutes Contributions to Enhancing Health Equity in Behavioral Health, specifically the work LPHI has engaged in across the greater New Orleans area, Louisiana and the Gulf Coast with a variety of community partners to enhance behavioral health integration. Following the conference LPHI was excited to have our work around behavioral health integration further featured by the Centerstone Research Institute for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
